Free Computer Help for Ordinary Computer Users

While there are thousands of websites claiming to offer free computer help, their support requires you to search through knowledge bases, or submit an email describing your problem.

Some even offer a text chat session with a support representative. While this can be useful for computer saavy users, it is very confusing and intimidating for the majority of computer users who have very little technical background. Our computer help involves a remote session with an IT Support professional who doesn't just tell you how to fix the problem, but actually fixes it for you. You don't have to describe your problem, you can simply demonstrate the problem during the remote session, then sit back and watch in amazement as one of our support professionals repairs your system while you supervise the work.

How does it work? The latest trend in computer support today is remote access, where a remote IT support person accesses your system via the internet, takes control of your keyboard & mouse, and attempts to resolve your problem just as if they were sitting in front of it. While the service is far from perfect, it frequently results in a very satisfied customer.  If you search the internet today, you will likely find hundreds of websites that are currently offering this type of service, and some that are actually pretty good at it. How do you get support? You just register by clicking on the "Get Started" link in the Top Menu. You will receive a confirmation email to activate your account (no personal information will be collected except your name and a valid email address). Once you've completed activation simply log in. Logging into the website allows you to gain access to the Get a Support Key and the Start a Support Session link. Click on the "Get a Support Key" link. Support keys are broadcast on Twitter and are first come, first serve. Once you have a Support Key, click on the "Start a Support Session" link, enter your name and the Support Key to begin your session. If the Support Key has already been used, you will be notified that the key is no longer valid and you will have to wait for another. Can we fix every problem?  Absolutely Not and any remote support company who claims they can is not being truthful. Some problems (certain hardware issues, stubborn viruses, software incompatibilities, etc) can not be fixed remotely, and may require an onsite visit or a trip to the shop. What we guarantee is that if we can’t fix your problem, you will at least receive a complete understanding of the issue, and some advice on what will need to be done in order to get  your problem solved. We are not here to upsell you, and do not offer any paid services on the website.

So why are we doing this?  The main motivation for the site is to introduce more users to the advantages of Remote IT support. The free support is provided by employed support technicians who work in industry and the quality is excellent. The bet is that as more users discover the advantages, they will be more inclined to use and trust this type of paid service in the future.
